Report on the screening of the film "Hot Wall"
A screening of the film "Hot Wall" was held on Saturday, November 3rd (national holiday).
On Culture Day, enveloped in a warm, clear autumn sky, Tama Zenshoen was bustling with the 45th Zenshoen Festival, and from 2 p.m. The National Hansen's Disease Museum held a screening of the film "Hot Wall," followed by a talk and commentary by director Nakayama.
We had a lot of customers come and the event was sold out. Thank you very much. We would like to introduce some of the opinions and comments we received from our customers.
- Tears did not stop. I was impressed. Thank you very much.
- It gave me courage as an opportunity to reconsider how to live as a person. I have to live well.
- It was a great movie. I hope that the awareness of the problem will be passed down to future generations through such films. I would like to ask if there is such a screening again.
- The story and the movie were very good. It was very easy to understand because I watched the movie after listening to the story. Thank you for creating a valuable opportunity.
- It was good to see the screening after the director's story. Discrimination (I feel like I understand the meaning of what was made) is still there. Nothing has changed. I wanted to think about how it would change.
- Discrimination is not enough with science alone. Feelings lose. I remembered the story that it is important to understand and act correctly in order to eliminate discrimination. I thought it was important to understand the correct knowledge of Hansen's Disease
- I once again felt that it was "discrimination" and "prejudice" that afflicted the victims of Minamata disease and Hansen's Disease And I thought it was important to be aware that "discrimination" and "prejudice" always exist around us and to look at ourselves objectively.
- It was a movie that made me understand the feeling that "I know it in science, but I can't understand it in emotions." Discrimination and prejudice were Hansen's Disease, but also about the present age.
- I felt "it is important to know" and "it is important to act after that" more deeply than in the movie. I was able to understand it scientifically and was made to think deeply about "feelings".
- Please show the new hot wall.
Next week, on Saturday, November 10th, we will hold a screening of the anime "Rainbow to the Future" and an event "Let's learn Hansen's Disease We look forward to your participation.
