The Love Story of Sadao and Kimie Yamauchi, a Couple Living with Hansen's Disease

More than 10 years have passed since the government lost Lawsuit Claiming Compensation from the Government for the Unconstitutionality of the Leprosy Prevention Law and apologized to patients and Former leprosy patients, but the Yamauchis have lived as if they were making up for lost time. "I'm glad I was born into this world. I got married as a woman, had children and was able to hold grandchildren. I was able to leave descendants. No matter how disabled I am, I want to do anything on my own. Now is my youth!" they said, showing us everything. This is a two-and-a-half-year intimate record of their private lives.
