During his tenure at the Tokyo District Court, Mr. Yoshikai served as the presiding judge in the East Japan Liability Lawsuit for Hansen's Disease Issues related to leprosy, and as Director of the Human Rights Protection Bureau of the Ministry of Justice, he handled the case of refusal to stay at the Kurokawa Onsen Hotel. who played a role. In this lecture, he talked about how he decided to become a legal profession, what he thought about the Hansen's Disease 's disease lawsuit and the Kurokawa Onsen hotel refusal case, exchanges with Leprosy recovered persons and the rewarding work. We will also touch on the responsibility and role of the judiciary in Issues related to leprosy.

― Biography ―
Born in Fukuoka City in 1948. After graduating from the Faculty of Law at Kyushu University, he held positions such as Assistant Judge of the Tokyo District Court, Judge of the Yokohama District Court, Counselor of the Civil Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Justice, Judge of the Tokyo High Court, Presiding Judge of the Tokyo District Court, Director of the Human Rights Protection Bureau of the Ministry of Justice, and President of the Tokyo High Court. During his tenure as Presiding Judge of the Tokyo District Court, he was in charge of the Hansen's Disease 's Disease National Liability Lawsuit in East Japan (August 1999 to January 2001).
In 2003, when a resident of Kikuchi Keifuen was refused accommodation at the Kurokawa Onsen Hotel, he was involved in the response as Director of the Human Rights Protection Bureau. Currently working as a lawyer. His major publications include Human Rights Protection in the 21st Century: The Supreme Jewel (Shojihomu Co., Ltd., 2004) and Judge's Way of Walking (Shoji Homu Co., Ltd., 2013).
