Speaker: Katsuyuki Tomioka

Born June 3, 1948 (Showa 23) in Gunma Prefecture
He fell ill when he was in the fifth grade of elementary school and entered Tama Zenshoen in 1961.
In 1965, he entered the Shinrada classroom of Oku High School as a member of the 11th class.
After graduating, she underwent treatment at Nagashima-Aiseien and was re-admitted to Tama Zenshoen around 1971.
After that, he served as secretary and central committee member of the Tama Zenshoen Resident Association for about 12 years.
During that time, they formed a softball team with the young Former leprosy patients at the time and played against teams outside the facility.
He also started playing shogi as a hobby and interacted with players from each sanatorium.
Aiming to return to society, he started pottery and exhibited at various exhibitions. He also held a solo exhibition. He taught at the Civic Association for about 20 years.
He currently serves as the president of the Shogi Club and the Donguri Club (karaoke club).
This time, he will talk about his own experiences while looking at the permanent exhibits.
